& WARM ROOFS

We offer a wide range of conservatories in PVCu or aluminium, in Victorian, Edwardian and lean-to styles. Specialist glass is available for our conservatories such as Pilkington Active which is self-cleaning, or heat-reflective. Also We retrofit Warm roofs to existing conservatory structures.

Local History of Amersham Windows And Doors

Amersham Windows and Doors company ltd is a family-run business and we have been trading locally for over 40 years. We are now employing our third generation of family and have recently decided to incorporate our business. When our company first opened we were only glaziers, supplying glass and mending broken windows. However, it soon became obvious that in order to compete in the ever-changing market we would need to widen our scope. This is when we decided to become involved in double glazing and in the early stages of the business we would manufacture all of the units on our own premises.

Due to the volume of work we were generating through our outstanding reputation, quality and service, it eventually became necessary for us to outsource our products. This then gave us more time to spend with our customers ensuring that every detail was covered in their quotes and fitting requirements. The founder of the business, our Grandfather, had originally worked (very successfully) as a sign-writer but decided to change career, at which time he knew very little about the glass and glazing business. However, he soon turned his hand to all aspects of glazing, then double glazing and taught us, as we in turn joined the company. We have now passed our knowledge on to the next generation of our family and we hope this trend will continue long into the future.
